INLA Statement on Attack on RUC Patrol
28 December 1998

Received by the Republican Socialist Publicity Bureau:

Irish National Liberation Army volunteers attacked members of an RUC patrol with a grenade on the Whitewell Road in North Belfast today. This action was taken in direct response to RUC aggression against the nationalist working class in recent months.

The INLA reserve the right under our defence and retaliation policy to attack members of the British military forces for acts of sectarian aggresion. We will be monitoring the actions of the British forces in the coming months, especially in regards to Orange parades.
