INLA Denies Campbell and Dougan Killings
10 February 1998

The following is the text of a statement supplied to the Socialist Republican Publicity Bureau:

"The Irish National Liberation Army categorically deny any involvement in the killings of Drug baron Brendan Campbell and leading loyalist Robert Dougan in South Belfast within the last 24hrs.

Opportunistic claims by our political opponents and idle media speculation in regards to INLA involvement only serve to muddy the waters and distract peoples attention from the fact that the flawed peace process is little more than a sham and doomed to failure.

The Irish National Liberation Army does not and will not engage in the "no claim, no blame" policy favoured by many participants of the so-called peace process.

The INLA will acknowledge each and every military operation we undertake against the British occupation of Ireland."
