IRSC Statement on Gino Gallagher's Murder
31 January 1996

The Irish Republican Socialist Committees of North America, as the representatives of the Irish Republican Socialist Movement in Canada and the US, wish to make plain that the murder of Gino Gallagher was absolutely not the result of any internal feud. No internal division exist at present in the Irish Republican Socialist Movement, and all parts of our Movement mourn the loss of our Comrade, Gino Gallagher, who had the greatest respect of our members.

We denounce those who have participated in spreading Black Propaganda rumoring the possiblity of an internal feud -- their motives are transparent to all.

Clearly, those responsible for Comrade Gallagher's death had been tipped off that he had an appointment with Social Security at the time he was killed, and the nature of the killing showed a level of professional prowess and determination of purpose that leaves no doubt that the purpose of this murder was aimed at the undermining the resurgent strength and stature of the Irish Republican Socialist Movement.

It is hardly beyond reason to state the possiblity that, as in the cases of the murders of Miriam Daly, Ronnie Bunting, and Noel Lyttle, the SAS may well be responsible for the criminal act of war.

The IRSC would add that should any grouping within the Nationalist community be found to have played a part in the vicious murder of a fine human being and respected Republican Socialist, the Nationalist people will not be forgiving, nor will they fail to understand that only the interests of British Imperialism and international capitalism were served by the action.
