Greetings and solidarity from the Scottish Republican Socialist Movement. We recognise the difficult struggle of the IRSP in combining the struggle against social oppression with the struggle against national oppression.

The best blow for the cause of internationalism is by your own principled concrete examples, which you have consistently shown through the years. An example which can surely provide a model for others to follow.

We also specifically recognise our own twin enemies of Anglo Capitalist Imperialism. We have both faced the oppression of the same greedy and rapacious neighbour at the end of a struggle in these Islands for over a thousand years, from Tribal, Feudal and now Capitalist Imperialism.

We both understand the tactics of divide and rule, where false divisions and the false consciousness of sectarian myths have been used to great effect to prevent any form of unity in our working classes. Even here in Scotland we see the irony of mass idiocy as football crowds sing against the "Forces of the Crown", whilst voting those same forces to rule Scotland and Ireland from Westminster and the City of London.

It is not enough to be free from our capitalist oppressors, but from our own dark recesses of bigotry and ignorance, which can only be lightened by international socialism. By gaining National Liberation we will also be free to assist our less fortunate brothers and sisters around the Globe. All power to an all Irish Soviet.
